The Mavericks played well offensively, but only recorded six points off five turnovers and missed plenty of opportunities. Chet Holmgren also put up great numbers, scoring 27 points while also adding 14 rebounds to his stat sheet. The Thunder have home field advantage, and an opportunity to make the Conference Finals. It won’t be easy, but now they’ll just need to focus on one more game if they want to push ahead.

As for the Mavericks, their season doesn’t end here just yet. However, they must now travel to OKC in order to face the Thunder for Game 7. Although Luka and Kyrie are experienced enough to wade off pressure, the rest of the team will need to step up. We’ll see if they can make things right when both teams face off in Game 7.

In terms of accuracy, we feel the scoreboard is pretty high, but not as high as previous sims. For some reason, both teams seem to score way more points than any other teams in our simulations. Both teams do possess highly rated players. However, we’re not sure if teams are casually dropping 120-130 points per playoff game. Regardless, we’re glad to see it was a close matchup.

The only area in which we seek to improve is player injuries. We pre-record these simulations, which means we can’t account for Game-Time Decision (GTD). Furthermore, we’re limited to the 2K rosters, which does receive daily updates. However, creating custom rosters led to game crashes, as well as other technical issues. We’ll look to fix these problems when the Conference Finals arrive.
