Barcelona are financially capable of signing top target this summer

Barcelona want to make a number of significant signings during the upcoming summer transfer window, and at this stage, one of their leading targets is Xavi Simons, who is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain on another loan deal. Moves have already been made towards understanding whether it’s possible to get him.

PSG are prepared to allow Simons to join Barcelona, and there’s a good chance that a deal is done. According to MD, there would be no financial problems, as the 21-year-old’s contract would fit into their salary limit, and given that it would also be a loan, there would be no further payments required.

It’s widely reported that Simons’ first choice is to return to Barcelona, where he had been part of La Masia until leaving for PSG. All signs point to this being a deal can be done, although there’s plenty to be sorted before it can become official during the summer.
